How strong are the Green Bay Packers at each position ahead of training camp?

The Green Bay Packers have made a lot of changes to their roster this offseason. Last year was a wake-up call in many ways. Without Aaron Rodgers, it quickly became clear that certain areas on the roster needed work.

Fixing the pass rush and finding upgrades at cornerback and tight end were among the priorities for new general manager Brian Gutekunst, who replaced Ted Thompson after a major front office shakeup. One has to wonder how different everything would be had Rodgers not broken his collarbone. What if the Packers had made it back to the NFC Championship Game? Would they have made so many big changes this offseason?

We’ll never know the answer to that question. Maybe Rodgers’ injury was a blessing in disguise. Perhaps one year of playoff-less football forced necessary changes that will lead the team to one or two more championship victories in the Rodgers era. Only time will tell.

What we do know is how different this year’s roster compares to the last. But how strong are the Packers at each position? Let’s work our way through the roster, beginning with the quarterbacks and finishing with special teams.

Here are my grades for each position ahead of training camp, which begins later this month.
