Defensive line: A

Easily the Green Bay Packers’ deepest position group, the defensive line went from strength to strength this offseason.

Mike Daniels and Kenny Clark were a dominant duo last year, and should only improve together this season. Clark made a big second-year jump, and is on the cusp of the elite level. Can he take that step in his third season?

So far, so good. Now let’s factor in Muhammad Wilkerson, one of the Packers’ biggest free agency moves under new general manager Brian Gutekunst this offseason. Wilkerson played some of the best football of his career working with Mike Pettine in New York, and the two will be reunited in Green Bay this year.

The two-time All-Pro and one-time Pro Bowler brings a wealth of experience to the Packers’ defensive line, and at his best can be a dominant player.

The starting trio of Daniels, Clark and Wilkerson is bad news for opposing offensive linemen. If these three can stay healthy, the Packers could have one of the league’s top defensive lines this year.

The D-line also has strong depth with Dean Lowry, and I’m excited to see what second-year Montravius Adams can do now that he’s healthy.

This defensive line is well-deserving of an A grade.
