Quarterback: Aaron Rodgers

No doubt about this one. Here I give you the number one reason why Packers fans should be excited about the new season. Remember the last time Aaron Rodgers missed half the year with a broken collarbone? What happened the following season? That would be 2014 — Rodgers won his second MVP award, the Packers went 12-4, won the NFC North and went all the way to the NFC Championship Game.

Rodgers makes the Packers contenders again. As long as he stays healthy this year, there’s no doubt in my mind that Green Bay will return to the playoffs and make a serious push for the Super Bowl.

Rodgers is still in his prime and isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. The two-time MVP wants to play until he’s at least 40, according to Peter King of NBC Sports. If the Packers win the Super Bowl this year, Rodgers will have two championships at just 35 years old, with plenty of time to add a third ring.

But let’s not look too far ahead. For now, let’s just focus on Week 1. And seeing a healthy Rodgers in the lineup will be a welcomed sight for the thousands in attendance for the Packers’ season opener against their old rivals.
