NFL power rankings 2018: Packers in top 10 as training camp begins
28. New York Jets
The Jets made a bold move to trade up to number three in the draft, and were rewarded as arguably the best quarterback in the class was still there, Sam Darnold. If Darnold lives up to his potential, the Jets will become playoff contenders in the near future. But in the short term, their roster isn’t strong enough to contend.
27. Arizona Cardinals
The same is true in Arizona. The Cardinals’ focus is beyond the 2018 season. Josh Rosen is their future, and what happens this year isn’t as important. For now, Sam Bradford will lead the way at quarterback. He will make Arizona a competitive team as long as he’s healthy, but it’s worth noting Bradford has missed 17 regular season games over the past three years.
26. Denver Broncos
Denver’s hopes of reaching the playoffs fall on Case Keenum. As we all know, Keenum had an outstanding season for the Minnesota Vikings last year. If he can replicate that, look out. Defensively the Broncos will be strong again. The Von Miller-Bradley Chubb pairing is going to be fun to watch.
25. New York Giants
Take away the quarterbacks, and New York’s offense could be the best in the NFL. Rookie running back Saquon Barkley is a great addition, and will make life easier for Odell Beckham Jr. But a lot is going to come down to Eli Manning and how consistent this Giants team can be.
