AFC West

1. Chargers (11-5)

2. Chiefs (9-7)

3. Broncos (7-9)

4. Raiders (6-10)

If there is one team with worse injury luck than the Packers, it’s the Los Angeles Chargers. The injuries have already been piling up in Los Angeles this offseason, but I still predict them to win the AFC West.

The Chargers have so much talent on both sides of the football. They boast an excellent quarterback-running back-wide receiver trio with Philip Rivers, Melvin Gordon and Keenan Allen. They could also have one of the top young secondaries in the NFL this year, especially after selecting Derwin James in the first round of the draft. The Chargers are candidates to win the AFC this year.

The Kansas City Chiefs will once again be in playoff contention, and I have them securing the fifth seed with nine wins. Can Patrick Mahomes take the Chiefs to the next level? Only time will tell.

The Denver Broncos will still have an excellent defense, but can new signing Case Keenum replicate his excellent 2017 season? He helped the Minnesota Vikings reach the NFC Championship Game last year. Can he achieve similar success in Denver? I don’t see it happening this season.

The Oakland Raiders have a lot of potential, but I predict they will once again be too inconsistent, finishing with a 6-10 record for the second straight year.
