NFC South

1. Saints (12-4)

2. Falcons (10-6)

3. Panthers (7-9)

4. Buccaneers (2-14)

Once again, the NFC South is set to be one of the toughest divisions in the NFL. The New Orleans Saints have, in my opinion, the most balanced roster in the league, making them a very tough team to beat. They have few weaknesses, particularly on offense, which is why they will finish with a strong 12 wins.

Dan Quinn has completely transformed the Atlanta Falcons’ defense in recent years, and it could be the best in the division this year. Along with a wealth of talent on the offensive side of the ball, the Falcons should return to the postseason for the third straight season. Here I have them edging out the Philadelphia Eagles for a wild-card berth.

The Carolina Panthers are more talented than their record here suggests, but a poor record inside the division causes them to slip to 7-9. The Panthers have the talent to make the playoffs, but they have a difficult schedule.

Expect another disappointing season from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Jameis Winston‘s three-game suspension won’t help a team that was already way behind the eight ball in a tough division.

The NFC South will send two teams to the postseason: New Orleans and Atlanta. The Saints secure the NFC’s top seed.
