A roundup of the latest Green Bay Packers articles for Monday, August 6.

Good morning and welcome to the Packers News Report.

Happy Monday! We’ve arrived at the week Green Bay Packers football returns. It might only be preseason, but the team hosts the Tennessee Titans on Thursday evening at Lambeau Field. And we’re now just 34 days away from the regular season opener against the Chicago Bears.

The top story today is about Green Bay’s All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari. After getting hurt during Saturday’s Family Night Scrimmage, it’s fair to say we all feared the worst. But there’s some good news, and it came from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network on Twitter.

Even if he’s back to 100 percent at some point during preseason, I’d rest him now until the regular season opener. Hopefully he’ll be ready to go for the Bears game in just over a month.

Let’s begin the Packers News Report. Here’s a roundup of the latest articles from around the internet.
