Offensive line (9)

David Bakhtiari, Bryan Bulaga, Corey Linsley, Lane Taylor, Justin McCray, Jason Spriggs, Kyle Murphy, Dillon Day, Lucas Patrick

When healthy, the starting offensive line is just about set. The return of right tackle Bryan Bulaga will help.

The potential starter at right guard this year, Justin McCray, went down in last week’s game, but Rob Demovsky of ESPN reported that he has a calf contusion and should be back soon.

Backup center Dillon Day has been excellent in preseason and has earned a spot on the roster. Without him, the Packers could be lost should starter Corey Linsley get hurt.

The depth at tackle is a little concerning. Jason Spriggs and Kyle Murphy are the picks to make the 53. At guard, Lucas Patrick takes the top backup job, and will likely start Week 1 if McCray’s injury keeps him out longer than expected.

Defensive line (5)

Mike Daniels, Kenny Clark, Muhammad Wilkerson, Dean Lowry, Montravius Adams

This group should excite Packers fans.

The play of the starting defense was somewhat concerning against Pittsburgh. Yes. But it’s preseason. Muhammad Wilkerson made a nice play early on, and he could be a great signing for this defensive line.

Once Mike Daniels is back in the lineup and the regular season begins, I expect the Packers to be dominant up front.

The only question here is whether Green Bay will decide to keep a sixth defensive lineman. It’s difficult to make room on the roster, and if these five are healthy, the team has more than enough talent.
