Green Bay Packers Pro Bowler Davante Adams comes in at No. 5 in FanSided’s wide receiver rankings for fantasy in 2018.

FanSided has Davante Adams in the top five of their wide receiver fantasy rankings for 2018.

In their top 75 WR rankings, three Green Bay Packers make the list. Adams is at No. 5, Randall Cobb at No. 36 and Geronimo Allison at No. 59.

Adams, now the Packers’ clear number one receiver, is considered by many to be an elite fantasy option this year. And for good reason.

We’ve seen in the past two seasons how talented he is. Adams has been dominant in the red zone, posting double-digit touchdowns two straight years. That alone boosts his fantasy stock.

Now consider the fact Aaron Rodgers is healthy. The last time Rodgers played a full season, Adams fell just short of 1,000 yards and had 12 touchdowns. And that was as the number two receiver on the depth chart behind Jordy Nelson. Now he’s Rodgers’ top target.

Jon Dove of FanSided has Adams ahead of Julio Jones, Keenan Allen and A.J. Green. Here’s what he wrote:

"“Adams is primed to take his game to the next level. He is finally the head guy with Jordy Nelson now with the Raiders. Look for Aaron Rodgers to target Adams early and often. He’s such a storng fantasy option because he makes plays at every level.”"

If preseason is any indication, Adams and Rodgers both look in midseason form. Barring an injury to either player, the Rodgers-to-Adams connection could be one of the most productive in the league this year.

Adams was still a valuable wide receiver for fantasy without Rodgers last season. He remained consistent and was in the WR1 conversation. But with the best quarterback in football? Now Adams has a chance to be dominant.

Jimmy Graham‘s arrival could have an impact on Adams’ targets in the red zone, but not a great deal. Graham will likely take on many of the targets that once belonged to Nelson.

And even if Adams’ touchdown numbers drop a little, he still has a safe floor as he will have a great opportunity to not only hit 1,000 yards this season, but go way beyond it.
