The Green Bay Packers make the top 10 of the Week 1 NFL power rankings.

Football is finally back. After a busy offseason, particularly for the Green Bay Packers, the 2018 regular season is here.

On Thursday evening, the Super Bowl-champion Philadelphia Eagles begin their title defense at home to the Atlanta Falcons. The Packers will have to wait until Sunday night to kick off their campaign. They begin their 100th season by hosting the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field.

Talking of the Bears, their recent addition of Khalil Mack should make the game interesting. Will Mack play against the Packers, and what kind of impact will he have on the game?

Every year there are a number of surprises. Which team will make the biggest jump from last season? Which non-playoff teams from last year will challenge this time around? How many playoff teams won’t make it? We can always expect the unexpected on Sunday afternoons in the NFL.

For Green Bay, getting Aaron Rodgers back will make a big difference. Last year was basically a lost season with Rodgers missing half of it with a broken collarbone. If he’s healthy all year, the Packers will once again be contenders for a championship.

Let’s begin the power rankings for Week 1. How close are the Packers to the top?
