Week 5, at Lions: Win

The first divisional road game of the year is proven tough for any team. While the Packers will be on a four-game winning streak, the Lions could be struggling a bit in the early quarter of the season. Ford Field might be one of the more underrated stadiums where teams struggle to play when wearing their away jerseys.

A lot of hype has surrounded the Lions during the offseason. Matt Patricia became Detroit’s new head coach, coming from being the defensive coordinator in New England. It may take him more than one season to see the results people are expecting.

He has one important building block on his defense already with Darius Slay. Coming off his first Pro Bowl season, Slay will be a problem for Davante Adams. Green Bay will have to rely on their ground game while Rodgers spreads the ball around on offense.

The Packers’ defense should have a rhythm by the fifth week of the season. The young talent could be making headlines by now, but the Lions are never a team to sleep on. Matthew Stafford becomes his most dangerous in the fourth quarter, which means the defense needs to be on their toes. The Lions will give Green Bay more difficulty than what people might expect, but the mighty Packers continue to play five weeks undefeated.
