Packers: Predictions, complete breakdown of every game on schedule
Week 6, vs. 49ers: Win
The Jimmy G era has officially begun in San Francisco, and the team has improved dramatically as a result. The 49ers’ offense will put the young defensive players in Green Bay to the test. Up until this point in the season, San Francisco most likely has the highest octane offense to boot.
A high scoring game is expected between these two teams. Keeping turnovers to an absolute minimum while controlling the time of possession will be the key factors in winning against a fast-paced offense. Green Bay’s running backs will more than likely see a much bigger workload if the Packers can manage to take an early lead. Jimmy Graham will as always help in the red zone, while the other tight ends will focus on the blocking.
Trying to cut the threat of Jimmy Garoppolo‘s arm strength will the primary focus on defense. Running back Jerrick McKinnon tore his ACL at practice before the regular season, which means Alfred Morris will see the majority of the carries. Morris has been great halfback during his tenure in Washington, but after spending the past three seasons sitting behind Ezekiel Elliot in Dallas, his production seems questionable for San Francisco.
Predicting this game is honestly a 50-50 toss-up on who could win. Considering that the game is held at Lambeau Field, the Packers have a slight advantage. Garoppolo will be a great quarterback in the NFL. If the game came down to a shootout between the two QBs, the bets would favor Rodgers to still win. Even if he has to say a quick Hail Mary to do so.
