Three takeaways from the Green Bay Packers’ incredible Week 1 victory over the Chicago Bears.

It was a game fitting for the Green Bay Packers‘ 100th season opener. There was no shortage of drama as the Packers overturned a 20-0 deficit to beat the Chicago Bears and start the season 1-0. What were the biggest takeaways from the victory?

There were two chapters to this game. The first was about as bad as it could ever get for Packers fans. Not only were they two scores down, but Aaron Rodgers had to leave the field due to a knee injury.

The Bears defense took over, leading them to a 17-0 halftime lead. Shortly after the break they added another field goal to just about put the game away.

Or not.

Then came the Hollywood finish. Rodgers stood on the sideline with his helmet on, and surprisingly was set to return to the game.

All of a sudden everything improved. The offense was moving the ball with ease. The defense was dominant. And the Bears fell apart, leading to one of the all-time great comebacks in this rivalry.

The focus this week will be on the health of Rodgers ahead of a tough contest against the Minnesota Vikings.

But before then, let’s look back at this Week 1 thriller. What are the top three takeaways from the game?
