Grading each position group on offense for the Green Bay Packers following their Week 1 victory.

During Sunday night’s win against the Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers fans rode an emotional rollercoaster for the entire game. After it appeared all hope for the 2018 season was lost when quarterback Aaron Rodgers went down, he was able to return for the second half and led the Packers to an improbable comeback.

Heading into Week 1, with Rodgers returning from injury, Joe Philbin back as offensive coordinator and a number of new faces, many couldn’t wait to see this talented offense back on the field. Even head coach Mike McCarthy this offseason had talked about how the playbook would look different, something many fans were excited about.

However, as the first half came and went this Packers offense looked rather stale and seemed to have the same predictability as in past years. Even before the Rodgers’ injury, Green Bay struggled to move the ball against the Bears.

But what makes this Packers team so good is their ability to make halftime adjustments. The offense picked up the tempo and relied on Rodgers to make a lot of the play calls in the second half from the line of scrimmage, a skill that separates him from most other quarterbacks.

Rodgers and the Packers were able to complete a miraculous comeback, but it wasn’t without its ups and downs. I will go through and grade each offensive unit based on their Week 1 performance.
