Packers: Three reasons Vikings game ended in a tie

2. Both passing attacks
When divisional opponents play, the games are typically close and often low scoring. Due to the fact these teams know each other so well, defenses know how to game plan against the opposing offense. However, while Sunday’s game was close throughout, it was a high-scoring affair.
Seeing that neither team rushed for over 100 yards, the passing game was all either offense had. Kirk Cousins and Aaron Rodgers were spectacular when they had the ball. Both Rodgers and Cousins had over 30 completions and passer ratings above 97.
Rodgers’ effort was very impressive. Including field goals, Rodgers and the offense scored 22 points on the Vikings defense. Minnesota’s defense was statistically the best defense in the league last season. In addition to that, Rodgers was limited in his movement playing with a huge knee brace due to a knee sprain.
For the Vikings, Cousins was amazing in his first game being a part of the Packers-Vikings rivalry. Cousins had 425 passing yards and four touchdowns. His accuracy and efficiency was amazing to watch. The 75-yard touchdown pass to Stefon Diggs and the touchdown pass to Adam Thielen were some of the best passes of Week 2.
Sunday’s game showed why both the Vikings and Packers paid these quarterbacks large amounts of money this offseason.
