The Green Bay Packers needed to get back on track in Week 4, and that’s exactly what they did with a shutout victory over the Buffalo Bills at Lambeau Field.

After a couple of disappointing defensive performances, Mike Pettine’s unit got back on track.

The Packers didn’t give up any points, and they posted two interceptions, seven sacks and forced two fumbles.

The good news for Green Bay was that Aaron Rodgers looked much healthier than the past two weeks. He looked more comfortable moving around, and he rushed five times for 31 yards.

But the offense as a whole wasn’t at its best. The unit posted just two touchdowns in the game.

The first was a three-yard pass to Jimmy Graham in the red zone, followed by a three-yard run by Aaron Jones.

Jones was yet again the Packers’ most efficient runner, turning 11 carries into 65 yards and a score. He got almost twice as many carries as in last week’s game at Washington, but head coach Mike McCarthy continued to rotate the running backs.

Jamaal Williams carried 11 times for just 27 yards. Ty Montgomery had five carries for 18 yards, but was more effective as a receiver with two catches for 56 yards.

It’s clear who the Packers’ best running back is. The quicker McCarthy realizes it and gives the ball to Jones more often, the better.

The Packers’ offense was good, but nowhere near its best. That will have to change in a key divisional game next week at Detroit.

But it’s important to focus on the positives from this game.

While the Buffalo Bills are now 1-3, they proved last week that it’s important not to overlook them. Just ask the Vikings.

But the Packers looked in control for the entire game, and that was due to the defense.
