Packers in top 10 of NFL power rankings for Week 5
12. Baltimore Ravens (3-1)
The Baltimore Ravens showed they were for real on Sunday night in a dominant win at Pittsburgh. Joe Flacco threw for 363 yards and two touchdowns, connecting with John Brown three times for 116 yards and a touchdown. Outside of the second quarter, the Ravens dominated on defense.
11. Minnesota Vikings (1-2-1)
After four games, the Minnesota Vikings defense has been disappointing. But it’s worth considering their schedule. They’ve played at Green Bay and the LA Rams in the past three weeks. I expect Mike Zimmer’s team to get back on track, but the schedule doesn’t get any easier this week with a trip to Philadelphia.
10. Green Bay Packers (2-1-1)
The Green Bay Packers put together a dominant defensive performance against the Bills, but the offense couldn’t get into rhythm. Yes, they didn’t have Randall Cobb. And Geronimo Allison got hurt. But this has to be a little concerning for the Packers. Mike McCarthy has to get things figured out on offense ahead of a tough divisional game at Detroit this week.
9. Cincinnati Bengals (3-1)
The Cincinnati Bengals have surprised me this year. Their offense has been outstanding, and they put together another great performance even without Joe Mixon. His return will make them even stronger offensively. Right now, the Bengals are my pick to win the AFC North.
