5. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix needed a strong game to rebound from the early season mess that has become the safety position. And he did just that.

Clinton-Dix looked more assignment sure and made a heck of an interception. He read the quarterback’s eyes and followed them to wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin. Clinton-Dix went for the ball then had a nasty collision with Benjamin. While violent, the hit was clean and Clinton-Dix managed to hold onto the ball for the turnover.

Clinton-Dix also had four tackles while not blowing any assignments. So far in 2018, the Packers defense has four interceptions with Clinton-Dix making three. It could be argued the first two had more to do with him being in the right place at the right time. But this one was Clinton-Dix making a play.

An honorable mention to the top five players is safety Jermaine Whitehead. Whitehead has been trusted with more responsibility in the defense each week. He has lined up as a linebacker in the nickel and dime as well as covering in the slot.

Against the Bills last Sunday, Whitehead recorded his first sack and nearly had another. Continued play at this level could see Whitehead in an expanded role.
