4. Get rookie receivers more involved

The Packers drafted three wide receivers for a reason. On Sunday, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown proved they can have roles in this offense.

When fully healthy, the majority of the snaps at wide receiver belong to Davante Adams, Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison. But that doesn’t mean MVS or St. Brown can’t get more opportunities moving forward.

Valdes-Scantling was the standout of the rookie receivers on Sunday, catching seven of 10 targets for 68 yards and a touchdown. He was just a yard short of making another touchdown reception.

St. Brown only had three catches in the game, but impressed with his final reception. He made a nice double move to get open, then showed off his yards-after-catch ability, spinning away for a 54-yard catch-and-run. St. Brown can play a role in this offense.

Both young receivers add speed and size to the team. Valdes-Scantling is six-foot-four, St. Brown six-foot-five.

Fourth-round pick J’Mon Moore has been active the past two weeks but is yet to make a catch.

The Packers offense will look better once Cobb and Allison return, but Valdes-Scantling and St. Brown both made plays in Sunday’s loss, and should be more involved even when the starting trio are all fully healthy.
