3. The Packers haven’t peaked yet

Does anybody really think a team with a young defense and Aaron Rodgers at quarterback is playing its best football after only five games? This team will continue to get better in every facet as the season unfolds.

The Packers have ugly losses to Washington and Detroit on the road. That’s undeniable. But there’s sometimes more to a game than just what the final score says. The Packers played ugly, incomplete games.

I can’t imagine we’ll see that same product for another 12 weeks through the rest of the season. The talent on the team is just too good, and the mix of veterans and high-potential young guys is too great to expect this team to fold.

We’ve seen ugly starts from the Packers in the past and the whole world knows what this team can do when it gets hot. Aaron Rodgers is the scariest man on the planet with a football in his hand, and that’s true regardless of how the rest of the team is playing.

When the young secondary settles in and gets healthy, when Aaron Jones has been fully worked back into the running back rotation, and when the young receivers who showed tons of promise against the Lions are caught up to speed, things will start humming for this team.
