The Green Bay Packers’ top five performers in their Week 5 loss to the Detroit Lions.

It was a tough loss for the Packers.

Mason Crosby couldn’t kick the ball into the ocean from the beach, and Aaron Rodgers and his receivers couldn’t get on the same page.

This game was the second in a crucial three-week stretch for the Packers before heading into their bye and their toughest stretch on the schedule to follow. The Packers came out flat and mistake prone.

The offense still seems out of whack and the defense was put in difficult situations. Despite doubling the offensive production of the Lions, the Packers could not come away with a win.

Mike Pettine and his crew suffered from turnovers that led to short fields. Although that wasn’t the only reason. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, a week after playing his best game of the season, resorted back to being out of position and was partly to blame on a Marvin Jones touchdown.

The Packers also got next to nothing from their outside pass rush, and Kevin King looked a little rusty coming back from a two-game absence.

Offensively, the discombobulation of the team continues.

Aaron Rodgers held on to the ball for too long too many times. Also, Rodgers was off target and missed a few open receivers on what is becoming a troubling trend in recent games. Part of the blame lies with his young, inexperienced receivers.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown do not have the connection with Rodgers yet when the play breaks down and need more seasoning. But there were still times when an open receiver was either missed or just not thrown to.

I won’t even touch on Mason Crosby, that guy has been beaten up enough since Sunday.

There were a few performances in the game that may be slightly overlooked in the loss. Here are five that could provide a silver lining.
