Five players to watch for the Green Bay Packers in Week 6.

On the heels of a loss to Detroit, the Packers (2-2-1) will come home to face the 49ers on Monday Night Football.

This is a game the Packers need to win. Not quite a must-win, since it is only October, but one the Packers need none the less. Green Bay faces an extremely difficult five-week stretch after their bye. Four out of the five games will be on the road against teams with playoffs on their mind.

This week, the Packers face a 49ers (1-4) team that lost its starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, as well as their big ticket free agent, running back Jerick McKinnon for the year.

Under quarterback C.J. Beathard the 49ers have played well but not well enough to pull out a win. Beathard believes the 49ers are still a playoff team without Jimmy G. This is a game he could make his mark and make people believe his statement. In primetime against a struggling Packers team, this has the makings of a game the 49ers could steal.

The 49ers are banged up with 17 players listed on the injury report. They may be without starting left tackle Joe Staley (knee), as well as starting running back Matt Breida (shoulder/ankle) as both have been either limited or not practicing leading into the game.

Meanwhile, the Packers may be getting healthier with Geronimo Allison clearing concussion protocol and Randall Cobb returning to practice on a limited basis.

The Packers will be looking to get the bad taste of last week’s loss out of their mouth.

Here are five players that can help make that happen.
