2. Mason Crosby
After the week Mason Crosby had against the Lions, no one would have been surprised if he was looking for another job. Yet he bounced back and rewarded the Packers for their faith.
Crosby made all seven of his kicks on the night, going three-for-three on extra points and making all four of his field goals with the long being 51 yards.
The fact the game ended on a Crosby kick, after the game he had against Detroit, was almost poetic. He was in position to win as important a game the Packers have had this season, and nailed it. Although I was a little surprised Kyle Shanahan didn’t use one of his remaining three timeouts to see if he could get into Crosby’s head.
The shot of head coach Mike McCarthy smiling and taking off his headset before the kick was even attempted was all you needed to know about how the coach felt about his kicker.
After the game, Crosby was emotional and understandably so. A week after his worst game as a pro, Crosby was the guy who scored the winning points.
With a solid game behind him, Crosby can now refocus on being the reliable kicker he has been.
