Packers fantasy football: Geronimo Allison a Week 8 waiver wire target
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Geronimo Allison could be back from injury this week, and should be added to fantasy football rosters for Week 8.
Considering Allison has missed a couple of games due to injury and the Packers have been on bye, there’s a good chance he’s available in your league.
According to Fantasy Pros, Allison is available in 37 percent of ESPN leagues. That needs to change.
Without Jordy Nelson this year, Allison has taken on a bigger role in Green Bay’s offense. And he’s been productive.
In the four games Allison has played, he’s caught 19 passes for 289 yards and two touchdowns. He has already set a career-best for receiving yards.
Allison has established himself as a receiver you can regularly start in fantasy.
He has Aaron Rodgers‘ trust, and continues to make big plays when the Packers need him the most.
He has at least 64 receiving yards in each game this year, and has found the end zone twice. Allison has a safe floor, especially in PPR scoring.
But he could very well be available in your league. With so many bye weeks coming up, it’s not often a player like Allison becomes available on the waiver wire.
While the first injury report of the week isn’t out until Wednesday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN reported that both Allison and Randall Cobb would practice on Tuesday, a good sign.
As Allison has been out a few weeks, there’s a chance he continues to slip under the radar in fantasy leagues.
