Three takeaways from the Green Bay Packers’ Week 8 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

It’s a game they weren’t expected to win, but one they will feel like they should’ve won. The Green Bay Packers played well, particularly in the first half, but couldn’t put away the only remaining undefeated team in the NFL.

While Ty Montgomery‘s fumble with two minutes remaining will be one of the biggest takeaways from the game, the fact is the Packers had more than enough opportunities to build a lead earlier on. Had they taken their chances, they might not have needed a game-winning drive at the end.

There’s no shame in losing to the LA Rams. They aren’t 8-0 by accident; this is one of the best teams in football we’re talking about here. But the Packers started fast and were well in control of the game. This feels like a missed opportunity.

Despite the result, there were a few positives to take away from the game, such as the play of some of the young players on the roster. Jaire Alexander was excellent in his first game back from injury, and rookie wide receivers Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown made a few key plays.

What were the top three takeaways from the Packers’ third loss of the season?
