Will the Green Bay Packers make a trade before Tuesday’s deadline?

For the first time in years, Green Bay Packers fans can enter the NFL trade deadline with the realistic possibility of their team being active.

The deadline is on Tuesday at 3 p.m. CT, and it’s possible Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst makes a move or two before then.

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is a player to watch on Tuesday.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported on Monday that the Packers are open to trading away Clinton-Dix.

Green Bay’s safeties have struggled so far this season, so it would be a somewhat surprising move to trade away one of the starters.

But Clinton-Dix is a free agent at the end of the year, so it’s possible Gutekunst feels the best move is to try and get a draft pick in return now.

Could Gutekunst look to strengthen the roster by bringing in a player or two?

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Oakland Raiders are open to trading edge rusher Bruce Irvin for a late-round pick.

Irvin, who had eight sacks last season, could help strengthen the pass rush. And for a late-round pick? Seems like a pretty low-risk trade if you ask me.

Could the Packers trade for a safety from a team looking to move players? The Raiders’ Karl Joseph and the Giants’ Landon Collins could be potential options.

Brian Gutekunst hasn’t been afraid to make some bold moves since becoming the GM. If an opportunity presents itself to improve the defense on Tuesday, there’s no reason why he won’t make a move.

If the Packers trade away Clinton-Dix, will they look to bring in a safety as a replacement, or are they confident in the young talent already on the roster?
