It’s hard to believe it’s already been four years since the Packers’ last game against the Patriots. That year it was at Lambeau Field, Green Bay won 26-21.
The Packers’ last visit to Gillette Stadium was all the way back in 2010. Aaron Rodgers missed the game due to injury, but Matt Flynn threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns and an interception, Green Bay lost 31-27.
If the last meeting between these teams is anything to go by, it should be a great game.
Green Bay needs to pick up a win at some point in this tough run of games. Fortunately, despite the team’s 3-3-1 start, the rest of the NFC North remains close. The Vikings and Bears have been just as inconsistent.
But with three of their next four games being played on the road, the Packers need to start picking up victories. They came close last week against the undefeated LA Rams. This would be a great place to start a winning streak.
This is Green Bay’s first game without Ty Montgomery and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. Both players were traded away ahead of the deadline earlier this week. How will that change the game plans on offense and defense in this game?
We’ll find out on Sunday Night Football.
