The Green Bay Packers are down five spots in the latest FanSided power rankings.

It’s not often the Green Bay Packers enter the season’s midpoint with more losses than victories to their name, but that’s exactly where they stand entering Week 10.

And as a result of the Packers’ back-to-back losses to the Rams and Patriots over the past two weeks, they have fallen to 17th in the latest FanSided NFL power rankings. It’s possible FanSided’s Matt Verderame was even slightly kind to put them that high.

“Aaron Rodgers can’t fix everything, which seems to be the plan in Green Bay,” Verderame wrote in the power rankings.

The trouble for this team right now is that Rodgers himself isn’t playing at the level we’ve come to expect. We’ve seen glimpses of the two-time MVP Rodgers, but he’s been far too inconsistent and made a number of uncharacteristic errors.

Maybe that’s down to the knee injury he suffered in Week 1, but the offense had been struggling in the same way before he got hurt.

The season is far from over, but the Packers need to start stacking up victories. Their margin for error is small.

The Packers are third among NFC North teams in the FanSided power rankings. The division-leading Chicago Bears enter at 13th after posting consecutive victories over AFC East opponents.

The Minnesota Vikings are up at seventh, and, along with the Bears, are beginning to pull away from Green Bay in the division.

Mike McCarthy’s team sits one place behind Sunday’s opponents, the Miami Dolphins. They are also behind the Atlanta Falcons and Seattle Seahawks, two teams at .500.

It’s been a disappointing and frustrating first half of the season for the Packers, who have to put things right quickly if they are to rise up these power rankings in the coming weeks.
