5. Nick Perry

Nick Perry doesn’t make this list because I think he’ll have a good game, but because he needs to have a good game.

Believe it or not, Perry has actually been passed by Kyler Fackrell. Perry has 1.5 sacks compared to Fackrell’s four. Fackrell has also played the run better than Perry.

Since signing his big contract two years ago, Perry only has 8.5 sacks and has continued his pattern of injury.

Perry has been limited in practice with an ankle injury and that could be the reason for his lack of production, but the story always seems to be the same with him. Some players are just snake bitten with injury and Perry seems to be one of them.

If the Packers want to turn things around over the second half of the season, they will need Perry to be the difference maker they are paying him to be.

The Packers need this game, that is not an understatement by any means. After two straight losses with two more difficult road games ahead, the Packers need something to breathe life into the team.

The Packers have been down this road before, struggling at mid-season, and made the playoffs. Aaron Rodgers and the offense have to come around and the defense must play an entire game. Maybe some home cooking can finally get this ship pointed in the right direction.
