1. Aaron Jones

Aaron Jones was finally treated as the feature back in the Packers offense and responded with the best rushing game the team has seen this year.

Jones finished with 145 yards on 15 carries with a long of 67 yards for a 9.7 yards-per-carry average and two touchdowns. Jones also aided in the passing game, catching three passes for 27 more yards.

All added up, that’s over nine yards per touch. As amazing as those numbers are, they could have been better. Jones didn’t even see the field on the Packers’ third possession of the game, giving way to Jamaal Williams for the entire series that ended on a failed fourth-down conversion.

Hopefully this is a sign of things to come. Mike McCarthy stuck it out with Jones sprinkling in Williams along the way.

Williams is a fine player and has a place on the offense, but the offense seems to move much better with Jones in there, and defenses do not treat the Packers the same way with Williams in there as they do with Jones.

Jones is small, weighing at 208 pounds, so finding the right balance will be key. But Jones in the backfield getting a majority of the touches is the best thing for the offense.
