Top five performers for Packers in Week 10 win vs. Dolphins
By Jesse Fry
3. Davante Adams
Any question about Davante Adams being an elite wide receiver should’ve ended weeks ago. If there was still doubt it should be gone now. Adams added two more touchdowns to his total, giving him nine on the season.
Adams’ two touchdowns were perfect examples of what makes him so good. On his first one, he used his quick feet to get just enough separation on the slant to give Aaron Rodgers enough room to get the pass in for the touchdown.
On his second, Adams found a spot in the zone and used his moves to make a defender miss as he got into the end zone.
Adams’ numbers weren’t overly spectacular, none of the receivers were in this game (four catches, 57 yards, two touchdowns). With the run game working as well as it was, it’s understandable. But Adams was yet again a consistent target for Aaron Rodgers despite facing the Dolphins’ best corner and constant double teams.
Adams is having as good of a year as any receiver in the NFL. He may not get the same national recognition as other receivers, but Rodgers as well as all of Packer Nation knows just how great he has been for this team.
