Five players to watch for Packers Week 11 vs. Seahawks
By Jesse Fry
2. Kenny Clark
For the reasons Jones is vital to this game on offense, Kenny Clark is for the opposite reasons on defense.
Seattle is the top rushing team in the NFL and will rotate a stable of backs at the Packers. Rashaad Penny, Chris Carson and Mike Davis should all see time against the Packers.
Clark will be key in ensuring they don’t take over the game.
RELATED: Packers must build on Week 10 performance
It will be vital for the Packers to try and get up big on the Seahawks early and force them to be one-dimensional. The Packers may be playing with as many four rookies at critical times and keeping things simple should be the order.
For the Packers to accomplish this, the defense will have to put the clamps on the run and not allow the Seahawks to attack the young guys with play-action passes. Clark, and the entire defensive line, must shut down the run game and put the Seahawks in unfavorable down-and-distances.
Clark will have to eat up double teams and allow the linebackers behind him to go to work. He will also get his chance to add to his team-tying high in sacks when the Seahawks do pass.
