5. Dean Lowry

Dean Lowry has seen his playing time steadily increase since the loss of Muhammad Wilkerson. I expect it to increase even more with Mike Daniels lost to a foot injury.

The Vikings are at their best when they can pound the ball. Dalvin Cook has missed a few games this season but is now back in the lineup.

With Cook being another week healthier the Vikings may give him a larger workload. It’ll be up to Kenny Clark and Lowry to slow that down.

Clark will be the one to receive most of the attention from the Vikings offensive line, so it’ll be up to Lowry to take advantage of favorable matchups.

Montravius Adams will also have a role to play. The former third-round pick will also see his workload change. Adams is likely to be the replacement on passing downs. Adams has a good first step at the snap of the ball and showed quickness getting into the backfield in college.

After a first year stunted due to injury, Adams will now get significant game time to show what he can do.

The Vikings are desperate for a win coming off a loss to the division-leading Bears. They will not feel bad for the Packers and their injury situation as they have felt the sting of injuries too this season.

Green Bay is still in search of its first road victory and face a crossroad in this game. If the Packers lose they are not completely eliminated, but the road will be more difficult.

A win gives them an edge over the Vikings in the season series as well as a leg up in the wild-card. It also can give this team confidence it can win on the road and may just be the spark they need to catch fire.
