1. Davante Adams
Davante Adams once again was dominating. Adams had one of the best corners in the league, Xavier Rhodes, spinning like top all night long.
Adams’ numbers were similar to the first meeting, five catches for 69 yards and a touchdown, but the numbers don’t tell the entire story.
Adams was open for most of the night. Even when NBC tried to save face with Aaron Rodgers and say he was sacked on a pivotal third down because no one was open, the cameras showed Adams pulling away from Rhodes and getting open.
By my unofficial count, Adams could’ve had at least three more big plays if not for Rodgers misfires, the one in the end zone being the most glaring.
Adams has done all he can this year and is on pace for a historic season for a Green Bay Packers receiver. He has already become the first Packers receiver since Sterling Sharpe to have three straight years with 10 touchdowns. He also went over the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career.
He still has five games left to play.
If nothing else, watching what Adams can or will do the rest of the season will be pretty entertaining.
