2. Aaron Jones

The Cardinals rank in the bottom half of the league in rush defense so this would be a good time to ride Aaron Jones.

Jones has finally been getting the workload of a feature back in recent weeks. His rush attempts have steadily increased and he has responded well.

Sadly, Jones keeps seeing his touches disappear at key moments in the second half. The deficits the Packers have faced have not been so large that they need to abandon the run, but for some reason they have.

With the Packers receiving corps banged up and with the Cardinals struggling in run defense, this would be a good game to see Jones get 20 carries.

Jones will also be there to help in the pass game. The left side of the Packers offensive line is banged up and both starters are listed as questionable. Aaron Rodgers may not have a lot of time in the pocket, so finding Jones on check downs or quick passes in the flat might be the best way to offset the line’s health.

3. Jaire Alexander

With a turnover-prone rookie quarterback under center for the Cardinals, the secondary might have a few attempts at interceptions.

Jaire Alexander has been in position to make plays on many passes, but the interceptions haven’t come in just yet. Alexander only has one official interception on the season, and now is the prime time to add to that total.

Alexander will also see a legend matched up against him most of the day. The Cardinals like to use Larry Fitzgerald in the slot, and I expect Alexander to see him the most. This is a great game for Alexander to show the legend what he’s got.

If Kevin King can return the secondary will get a big upgrade and get the Packers defense in its preferred lineup.

Either way, Alexander is healthy and will look to get his second interception, and possibly more picks off his 2018 draft mate.
