The Green Bay Packers continue to fall in the power rankings.

It’s been a tough season for the Green Bay Packers, and their position in the NFL Spin Zone power rankings for Week 14 reflects that.

The Packers moved down three spots to No. 25, which is below the Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills and Atlanta Falcons, who they meet at Lambeau Field this week.

Here’s what Randy Gurzi had to say about Green Bay in the latest power rankings:

"“It’s not for sure, but 17 points against one of the worst teams in the league is probably not what Cobb had in mind when saying they were about to light things up. Rodgers also probably should have worried about the one team in front of him, rather than listing everyone they would beat.”"

Gurzi makes a great point.

Many were waiting for Aaron Rodgers to make a statement like “R-E-L-A-X” in 2014 or “run the table” in 2016. The best he had was going through each of the five opponents the Packers had to beat in order to make the playoffs.

Instead, Rodgers didn’t play well and his team fell at the first hurdle, and it cost Mike McCarthy his job. It’s almost certain a coaching change was coming at the end of the season anyway, but the way the Packers lost to the Cardinals forced Mark Murphy to make a change right away.

On Sunday we’ll get to see Joe Philbin take over. Will this team play with more energy? Will a different play-caller result in a more efficient offense? Or the opposite?

Or will it be more of the same from the Packers, a team that looks good in moments but is unable to put together a complete performance for an entire game.

Time will tell. But more important than Sunday’s game against Atlanta is the future. Mark Murphy needs to make the right choice at head coach, who along with general manager Brian Gutekunst, quickly turn things around while Aaron Rodgers is still in his prime.
