Ranking the Green Bay Packers’ team needs by position this upcoming offseason.

Before anything else, the Green Bay Packers need to find a new head coach. But once Mark Murphy makes the final decision, it will then be Brian Gutekunst’s job to strengthen the roster in the offseason.

Gutekunst made a good start last year, particularly in the draft, selecting Jaire Alexander, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown, who have all had good rookie seasons, while also trading for an additional first-round pick.

This upcoming offseason Gutekunst will have to make a decision on the future of free agents Clay Matthews, Randall Cobb, and also decide whether to free up salary cap room by moving on from Bryan Bulaga, as he did by releasing Jordy Nelson last year.

This roster has elite players at key positions. Aaron Rodgers is a two-time MVP. Davante Adams is a Pro Bowler and one of the best receivers in the league. David Bakhtiari is an All-Pro left tackle. Aaron Jones is the team’s new star at running back. Kenny Clark is quickly becoming an elite defensive tackle.

But other areas on the roster need work. It’s now up to Gutekunst to find the right players to make this team competitive again in 2019.

Let’s take a look at the Packers’ top offseason needs. Here’s my rankings of each position group in order of priority next spring.
