How to watch the Green Bay Packers’ Week 17 game against the Detroit Lions.

A year ago the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions met in Week 17 in what was a meaningless game with both teams eliminated from playoff contention.

The same is true this week, but there are two differences. The first is that this game will take place at Lambeau Field. The second is that Aaron Rodgers will be on the field.

Those two factors give the Packers a great opportunity to get their first victory over the Lions since Jan. 1, 2017. This will be Rodgers’ first game against the Lions at Lambeau Field since September 2016.

Here’s how to watch Sunday’s game:

Date: Sunday, Dec. 30
Kickoff time: 12:00 p.m. CT
Stadium: Lambeau Field
TV channel: FOX
Live stream: FuboTV
Predictions: Picks for every Week 17 game

Green Bay will be hoping to finish the season with two victories. It would be the first time all season the Packers had won two games in a row. Few people would’ve believed that back in August.

This game won’t impact the NFC North standings. The Packers enter Week 17 at 6-8-1, the Lions at 5-10. If Detroit wins it would hold the head-to-head tiebreaker over Green Bay, but the Packers would still finish in third position thanks to their tie with the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2.

For Green Bay, this game is another opportunity for young players to get experience. That’s especially true for the young receivers on the roster like Equanimeous St. Brown and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who can get more experience playing with Aaron Rodgers.

EQ and MVS were featured last week. St. Brown led the team in receiving with five catches for 94 yards. Valdes-Scantling had five catches for 75 yards.

A player to watch will be Davante Adams. Adams needs two catches to break Sterling Sharpe‘s record for the most receptions in a single season in Green Bay Packers history. If he gets 134 yards, he’ll break Jordy Nelson‘s single-season receiving yards franchise record.

And if somehow he can catch six touchdown passes, he’ll break Sharpe’s single-season touchdown record.

It might be a meaningless game for the Packers, but not for Davante Adams.
