Next season, the Green Bay Packers will play six games against 2018 playoff teams.

A lot changes from year to year in the NFL, so it’s impossible to know whether a team has a tough or easy schedule eight months before the new season begins. What we do know is that the Green Bay Packers will play six games against current playoff teams in 2019.

Two of those games will be against the NFC North-winning Chicago Bears. The Bears’ No. 1-ranked scoring defense led them to a 12-4 record, but they were upset by the Philadelphia Eagles in the wild-card round.

Outside of the Bears, the Packers will meet four 2018 playoff teams next season. Here’s a look at the schedule in full:

Home: Chicago, Detroit, Minnesota, Philadelphia, Washington, Denver, Oakland, Carolina

Away: Chicago, Detroit, Minnesota, Dallas, Kansas City, LA Chargers, NY Giants, San Francisco

Three of those four games will be played away from Lambeau Field, giving the Packers a daunting road schedule.

The Cowboys were eliminated in the divisional round of the playoffs this season, while the Chiefs have advanced to the AFC Championship Game. The LA Chargers could join them in the AFC’s final two with a victory at New England on Sunday.

The Packers were a disappointing 1-7 on the road this season, and that will need to change if they are to have any chance of returning the playoffs in 2019.

If new head coach Matt LaFleur can help the offense reach its potential, there’s no reason why Green Bay can’t be dominant at home and win three or four of its road games.

It’s difficult to say just how tough this schedule will turn out to be, but for now the Packers’ focus is to become a contender in the NFC. If they can do that, they’ll be able to beat any team.
