The latest FanSided mock draft has the Green Bay Packers selecting wide receiver N’Keal Harry and edge rusher Zach Allen in the first round.

How the Green Bay Packers address the wide receiver position this offseason is going to be interesting.

Both Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison are free agents. Just last spring the Packers selected three receivers in the draft. Who do they bring back? Do they pick a receiver high in the draft, if at all?

There are mixed opinions on what the Packers should do at wide receiver, but it will be down to general manager Brian Gutekunst and new head coach Matt LaFleur to determine whether they need to find upgrades at the position.

In the latest FanSided mock draft, Brad Weiss has the Packers addressing the position with the 12th overall pick by selecting N’Keal Harry out of Arizona State.

“He has the size to go up and get it, can take the lid off the defense, and inside the red zone, would present Rodgers with a great target in tight spots,” Weiss wrote.

Selecting one of the top wide receivers in the class would certainly make sense, particularly if Cobb and/or Allison departs in free agency.

For a moment let’s assume the Packers don’t bring back either player but use the 12th overall pick on Harry. The wide receiver corps would then feature Davante Adams, Harry, Equanimeous St. Brown and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. If they also re-signed Allison, that would have the potential to be a very strong group.

Arguably the team’s biggest need is at edge rusher, which Weiss has Green Bay addressing later in the first round, thanks to the pick they are set to receive from the New Orleans Saints. In this mock the pick is at No. 32, which would mean the Saints win the Super Bowl.

Weiss has Green Bay strengthening its pass rush by selecting Zach Allen out of Boston College.

Selecting Allen at No. 32 would be great value for the Packers. FanSided’s Tony Pauline has Allen ranked 18th among all prospects in the class.

If the Packers could come out of the opening round with upgrades at wide receiver and edge rusher, it would be an excellent start.
