Three potential targets for the Green Bay Packers in free agency.

Free agency begins in under six weeks, and the Green Bay Packers will need to be active as they look to bounce back in 2019.

The Packers will have plenty of cap room to work with. According to Over The Cap, Green Bay currently has approximately $36.5 million in cap room. That number would go up if general manager Brian Gutekunst decided to move on from Nick Perry.

For Green Bay to make the playoffs next season, the team will need to make a number of improvements to the roster at key positions. The Packers need to strengthen the pass rush, add a safety or two, another tight end and wide receiver, add depth at running back, and also address the offensive line.

It will be almost impossible to fix all of the team’s biggest needs in the draft. The Packers will need to be active in free agency when it begins in mid-March, which they were in Gutekunst’s first offseason as GM last year.

If the Packers can fix just one of their biggest needs with a big free agency signing it’ll take some pressure off in the draft. With that in mind, here are three potential targets for the Green Bay Packers in free agency this offseason.
