All three mock drafts have the Green Bay Packers selecting an edge rusher with their first selection in this week’s roundup.

The 2019 NFL Draft gets underway in two months time. Let’s take a look at how a few mock drafts have the Green Bay Packers addressing their top needs in the first round.

Last week, Iowa tight end T.J. Hockenson was selected by Green Bay in multiple mock drafts.

This week, it’s his teammate, tight end Noah Fant.

Benjamin Solak (The Draft Network)

In his latest mock draft for The Draft Network, Benjamin Solak has the Packers selecting Florida edge rusher Jachai Polite and Iowa tight end Noah Fant in the first round. This is a combination we’ve seen in many mock drafts, but for good reason.

If the first round plays out like this in April, Packers fans should be excited as the team will strengthen two positions of need. Polite and Fant could both make a big impact right away.

Chris Trapasso (CBS Sports)

Chris Trapasso of CBS Sports also has Green Bay selecting an edge rusher at No. 12 in his latest mock draft. In this mock, the Packers pick Mississippi State edge rusher Montez Sweat and Delaware safety Nasir Adderley on the draft’s opening day. Again, this mock draft has Green Bay addressing two of its biggest needs right away.

Luke Easterling (Draft Wire)

This is a fun four-round mock draft by Luke Easterling of Draft Wire. Green Bay trades down twice in the first round before selecting Florida State edge rusher Brian Burns with the 23rd overall pick, then tight end Noah Fant with the 30th selection.

Fant has been a popular choice to Green Bay in mock drafts throughout the offseason. I’d love the Packers to select him at No. 30. He could be the pass-catching tight end the offense has been trying to find for years.
