Predicting who the Green Bay Packers re-sign, let walk in free agency.

It’s the most important time of year for Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst. Over the next couple of months, he’ll make a number of important decisions to build the roster for the 2019 season. It all begins with free agency this month.

The focus among fans will be on which players the Packers sign from other teams. And for good reason. With a number of big names at edge rusher and safety potentially hitting free agency, Green Bay should be interested in strengthening the defense in the next few weeks.

But it’s also important not to forget about the Packers’ own free agents. Gutekunst needs to decide which players he wants to bring back and let walk, and how much he is willing to spend.

This offseason, a couple of the team’s biggest contributors from the past decade are free agents: Clay Matthews and Randall Cobb. Is it time to move on, or will the Packers bring back Matthews and Cobb? What about Bashaud Breeland, who was signed in September and played an important role in the secondary this past season?

Less than two weeks away from the start of free agency, here are my predictions for which players will re-sign with the Packers, and who will walk.
