A roundup of the latest Green Bay Packers articles for Tuesday, March 5.

Good morning and welcome to the Packers News Report. Today is the deadline for NFL teams to use the franchise and transition tags. The bad news for the Green Bay Packers is that many of the top free agent edge rushers are now unavailable.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that the Dallas Cowboys will use the franchise tag on star edge rusher DeMarcus Lawrence.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported that the Seattle Seahawks are expected to use the franchise tag on edge rusher Frank Clark, and Pelissero also reported that the Atlanta Falcons have franchise tagged defensive tackle Grady Jarrett.

And as reported by John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, the Houston Texans have franchised edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney.

So there you have it. Many of the top pass rushers won’t be available in free agency. Today will be an interesting day to see which players aren’t franchise tagged.

Here’s a roundup of the latest articles from around the internet.
