Forget the offseason drama currently surrounding the Green Bay Packers. Whether Aaron Rodgers is considered a good leader or a bad one depends on who you talk to, but the 2019 NFL Draft is just two weeks away, and that is our focus in this article. Turning a six-win team into an NFC contender in one offseason is no easy task, especially with a new head coach, but it’s been done before. The Los Angeles Rams turned 4-12 and third place in the NFC West into 11-5 and a playoff berth in one year. The Chicago Bears flipped last place for first place, going from 5-11 in 2017 to 12-4 and the NFC North title in 2018.

Like those teams, the Packers have talent already in place, led by two-time league-MVP Aaron Rodgers. Also like the Rams and Bears, they are entering a new era under a young, offensive-minded head coach. So it can be done.

But the Packers will need a strong draft class to back up what looks to be an impressive start to the offseason in free agency.
