Ranking the Green Bay Packers’ options with the 12th-overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

The Green Bay Packers have countless needs across their roster, and could choose to go in a myriad of directions on draft night.

Here are their options at number 12.

5. Draft Jonah Williams

The Packers should not be holding their breath that Jawaan Taylor makes it down to their spot at number 12. Instead, it is more likely that Alabama’s Jonah Williams is available for them to take at their spot. The Packers should be looking elsewhere at number 12 though. Not only can Billy Turner step in right away as the day one starter at right guard, but Bryan Bulaga, for all the armchair psychology done regarding his future with the team, is still a good starter at right tackle.

With Cole Madison back in the picture after returning from a year away from football and Turner’s ability to play across the line, the Packers should instead look to bolster their line depth later in the draft, potentially at pick number 30.

Dalton Risner, Chris Lindstrom, and Dru Samia are all good options for the Packers to target should they get into a position where both Williams and Taylor are either passed on or taken. Williams is also a bit grounded into his position at left tackle, where the Packers are already in great shape with David Bakhtiari. Adding Williams would potentially complicate things upfront, but at the very least the Packers would be getting an excellent prospect as their quarterback ages.
