There’s still a lot of talent left on Day 2 of the 2019 NFL Draft. Here’s a look at who the Green Bay Packers could pick in the second round.

The Green Bay Packers selected Rashan Gary and Darnell Savage Jr. in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, but the attention now shifts to Day 2.

The Packers are set to pick twice on Friday night, once in the second round (No. 44 overall) and once in the third round (No. 75).

Let’s look at players they could target on Day 2.

Irv Smith Jr., TE, Alabama

After missing out on the two Iowa tight ends in the first round, the best tight end still available is Alabama’s Irv Smith Jr. He could make a difference from Day 1 in Green Bay’s offense and be the long-term replacement for Jimmy Graham. Smith should very much be in consideration if he’s on the board at No. 44.

DK Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss

Matt Miller of Bleacher Report noted earlier this month that either the Packers or Bills could pick DK Metcalf inside the top-15. While that didn’t happen, one has to assume GM Brian Gutekunst would be interested if Metcalf is available with Green Bay’s second-round pick.

Jawaan Taylor, T, Florida

One of the biggest surprises on Thursday night was that Jawaan Taylor didn’t get selected. One of the top tackles in the class, the Packers could add much-needed talent to the offensive line.

Greedy Williams, CB, LSU

Cornerback might not be Green Bay’s biggest need, but after losing Bashaud Breeland they should consider adding depth. Greedy Williams could’ve easily been a first-rounder, and the Packers’ secondary would get even stronger by selecting him in the second round.

Cody Ford, T, Oklahoma

Cody Ford is listed as a tackle but he could start immediately at guard for the Packers. Ford is another player who surprisingly didn’t get selected on Day 1.

A.J. Brown, WR, Ole Miss

One of the top pass catchers in this year’s class, A.J. Brown would make for an excellent second-round pick for the Packers. The 6-foot-1 receiver would be an ideal fit in Matt LaFleur’s offense.

Dalton Risner, T, Kansas State

Another talented tackle who didn’t get picked on Day 1 is Dalton Risner out of Kansas State. If Gutekunst is looking for Bryan Bulaga‘s eventual successor at right tackle, Risner could be the answer.
