Packers: 53-man roster predictions after 2019 NFL Draft
Following the 2019 NFL Draft, let’s predict the Green Bay Packers’ final 53-man roster.
The time for speculation is over. The Green Bay Packers have made eight selections in the 2019 NFL Draft, and outside of one or two notable free agent signings they might make in the summer, the 90-man roster is about set. But who will make it on to the final 53 following training camp? It’s never too early to predict the final 53-man roster.
After winning just six games in 2018, change was needed. The offseason has been a long one for the Packers, starting with the coaching staff shakeup that saw Matt LaFleur replace longtime head coach Mike McCarthy.
Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst took an aggressive approach to free agency, landing two of the top edge rushers — Za’Darius Smith and Preston Smith — while also bolstering the secondary by signing former Chicago Bears safety Adrian Amos. Green Bay continued a busy start to free agency by adding offensive lineman Billy Turner, who could end up starting at guard or tackle.
Gutekunst has now made all eight draft selections, including first-rounders Rashan Gary and Darnell Savage Jr.
Now, just over four months away from the regular season opener against the Chicago Bears, let’s look ahead. Who will make the Packers’ final 53-man roster?
