Following the 2019 NFL Draft, which team is top of the NFC North power rankings?

On paper, it’s possible the NFC North could be the most competitive division in the conference. But, then again, we said that last year. And instead, the North sent just one team to the playoffs, the Minnesota Vikings finished 8-7-1 and the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions both had losing seasons.

Not often in recent years have the Chicago Bears entered the new year as the team to beat in the NFC North. We’ve also not seen the Packers playing catchup all too often, but that’s where we are ahead of the 2019 season.

It’s been a busy offseason in the NFC North. Trey Flowers, Za’Darius and Preston Smith, T.J. Hockenson, David Montgomery, Rashan Gary and Irv Smith Jr. are among the new additions, and it should be a competitive division this year.

The Bears were far and away the best team in the NFC North a year ago, but have the other three teams been able to close the gap at all this spring? Following free agency and the 2019 NFL Draft, are the Bears still the top team? And who are their biggest contenders for the NFC North crown?

Let’s take a look in the post-draft NFC North power rankings.
