In 2019, Davante Adams can continue to prove why he’s one of the greatest wide receivers in Green Bay Packers history.

Many great wide receivers have played for the Green Bay Packers over the years. This season, Davante Adams has a chance to make the top 10 for career receiving touchdowns for the Packers, according to Pro Football Reference.

In Adams’ first two seasons, he had a total of just four touchdown catches. Over the past three years, he’s put up an incredible 35. With a total of 39 touchdowns in five years, he is currently tied for 13th-most receiving touchdowns in franchise history alongside Paul Coffman, who played in Green Bay for eight years between 1978 and 1985.

With two more touchdown catches, Adams will be level with former teammate Randall Cobb, who found the end zone 41 times for the Packers.

Adams needs four touchdowns to level Billy Howton in 10th place. Considering the two-time Pro Bowler has finished with 10 or more touchdowns in each of the past three seasons, he has a great chance to overtake Howton this year.

What if Adams can match last year’s career-best 13 touchdowns?

That would give him a career total of 52, which would be good for seventh-most in franchise history, one touchdown behind Greg Jennings.

While Adams is still a long way off Don Hutson‘s franchise-record 99 touchdown receptions, if he finishes his career in Green Bay, there’s no reason why he can’t eventually take second place in career receiving touchdowns. That spot currently belongs to Jordy Nelson, who had 69 receiving touchdowns for the Packers. The way Adams has been playing the past few years, he’ll only need about three more seasons to overtake Nelson.

Davante Adams fell just short of a couple of franchise records at the end of the 2018 season, but he has a very good chance of making the top-10 for career receiving touchdowns this year.
